OM-Klebetechnik has implemented an automated lift rack supplied by Jungheinrich to increase storage density and picking efficiency for small parts, supporting both industrial distribution and e-commerce fulfilment operations.

Context of the Cooperation
OM-Klebetechnik manufactures and distributes adhesive and lubricant products, including the SyncoLube® range, with growing order volumes driven by online sales via selmundo.com. The company required a storage solution capable of handling high item variety, small order sizes, and increasing throughput without expanding warehouse floor space.

Jungheinrich was selected to supply and integrate an automated small parts storage system, combining mechanical handling technology with digital warehouse integration. The cooperation addresses challenges related to space constraints, manual picking times, and inventory transparency typical of expanding mid-sized logistics operations.

Technical Solution and Responsibilities
The installed solution is a vertical lift rack designed for high-density storage of small and medium-sized items. Jungheinrich provided the lift rack hardware, control technology, and system integration support. OM-Klebetechnik defined storage requirements, item profiles, and operational workflows.

The system operates on a goods-to-person principle, automatically presenting trays to an ergonomic access point. Storage capacity is increased by using the full available room height, while automated tray positioning reduces picking travel distances. Interfaces connect the lift rack controller with the existing inventory management system, enabling bidirectional data exchange for stock movements, order processing, and documentation.

Deployment and Integration
The lift rack was deployed at OM-Klebetechnik’s Neumarkt facility and integrated into ongoing warehouse operations without requiring structural expansion. A dedicated software interface ensures consistent synchronisation between physical stock movements and digital inventory records.

The system supports standard warehouse processes such as batch picking, order consolidation, and dispatch preparation. Jungheinrich provided commissioning and technical support, while OM-Klebetechnik manages daily operation within its established logistics framework.

Applications and Use Cases
Primary applications include storage and picking of adhesives and lubricants with high SKU counts and frequent order lines. The solution supports e-commerce fulfilment by reducing order lead times and improving picking accuracy. Optional extensions, such as pick-to-light guidance, are available to further reduce error rates under high throughput conditions.

By increasing storage density and reducing manual handling steps, the lift rack improves process stability and material flow efficiency.
