Dematic and Hai Robotics have signed a formal framework agreement covering Europe that establishes Dematic as an integration partner for Hai Robotics’ autonomous mobile robot (AMR) solutions, expanding the range of scalable goods-to-person systems available to warehouse operators.
Broadening automation choices in European warehouses
The agreement brings together Dematic’s system integration expertise with Hai Robotics’ AMR-based storage and picking technologies. The objective is to provide customers with greater flexibility in selecting automation concepts that match specific throughput, space and operational requirements, particularly in goods-to-picker order fulfillment.
Within this structure, Hai Robotics becomes an approved supplier option for AMR-based solutions delivered by Dematic in Europe, including projects executed in cooperation with affiliates of the KION Group. This expands Dematic’s existing AMR portfolio and supports deployments ranging from greenfield facilities to brownfield retrofits.
Framework for integration, quality and lifecycle support
The partnership is governed by a comprehensive framework agreement that defines standards and responsibilities across the full project lifecycle. It covers training and certification, documentation, quality assurance, warranties, spare-parts supply, liability and delivery terms. This structure is intended to reduce integration risk and ensure consistent system performance across multiple European markets.
Dematic teams gain access to Hai Robotics’ training and certification programs, enabling integrators to develop in-house expertise on AMR configuration, commissioning and operation. Regular technical and operational exchanges, including joint testing and project reviews, are built into the cooperation model.
Operational collaboration and reference validation
Beyond contractual alignment, the partnership emphasizes practical collaboration. Joint workshops and test activities are planned to validate system designs and performance assumptions. Dematic also has the opportunity to visit existing Hai Robotics reference installations in Europe, supporting customer demonstrations and solution benchmarking based on operational data rather than concepts alone.
Context for warehouse automation strategies
The agreement reflects a broader shift in European logistics toward modular, scalable automation that can adapt to fluctuating volumes and labor availability. By combining a global system integrator with a specialized AMR provider, the partnership is positioned to address use cases where flexibility, phased investment and rapid deployment are critical factors in warehouse automation decisions.
