Drive architectures for autonomous mobile robots are moving toward higher integration, compact packaging, and improved energy efficiency to support battery-powered intralogistics systems. In this context, Allient Inc. will present a new generation of drive solutions for AGVs and AMRs at LogiMAT 2026.
Drive integration trends in autonomous warehouse vehicles
At LogiMAT 2026, taking place March 24–26 at the Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre in Stuttgart, Germany, Allient will present drive systems designed for automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) used in warehouse automation and digital supply chain operations.
The systems combine motors and gearboxes designed for direct wheel hub integration. This approach reduces mechanical interfaces, supports compact vehicle layouts, and simplifies drivetrain design. Direct wheel connection can also reduce transmission losses compared to indirect drive configurations, supporting energy efficiency in battery-powered vehicles.
Modular motor platform for AGV and AMR mobility
The AGV and AMR gearboxes are designed to integrate into Allient’s modular servo motor system through direct motor mounting. This configuration enables application-specific drive units adapted to vehicle load requirements and operating cycles typically found in automated material handling environments.
The company will also present its KinetiMax™ High Power Density motor series integrated into AGV and AMR wheel drives. The motors are designed to deliver high torque density in compact form factors, addressing space constraints in mobile robotic platforms while supporting the performance requirements of continuous logistics operations.
Motion and control portfolio for intralogistics automation
The exhibition portfolio will include several motor and motion control platforms intended for intralogistics automation applications.
These include the KinetiMax™ High Power Density Brushless DC Series (KMF-HPD), KinetiMax™ High Power Density Housed DC Series (KMH-HPD), AMR wheel drives with integrated KM-HPD motors, HeiMotion® AGV solutions, and the HeitronX motor and control portfolio.
The systems target applications such as automated material transport, warehouse picking systems, and factory intralogistics, where compact electric drives and integrated motion control support vehicle efficiency and system integration in automated logistics environments.
