In intralogistics, warehousing, and the manufacturing sectors, operations still depend heavily on cables, connectors, and fixed charging stations. These outdated approaches lead to disruptions, reduced flexibility, and costly downtime. Rail-guided transport systems, relying on busbars and sliding contacts, often require regular maintenance, making them less suitable for continuously operating environments.
Building on 25 years of expertise in wireless charging and contactless power transfer, ENRX, a global leader with over 75 years’ experience in induction technology, recently unveiled two advanced product families designed to address industry-wide challenges: ENRMOVE and PWRMOVE.
ENRMOVE offers a revolutionary wireless charging system tailored for automated guided vehicles (AGVs), autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), forklifts, and other industrial vehicles. By incorporating charging into operational workflows, ENRMOVE removes the need for dedicated charging stations and manual intervention. The technology builds upon ENRX's extensive experience delivering heavy-duty 100-200 kW wireless charging solutions for public transport systems since 2002, accumulating over 25 million kilometres of successful bus operations.
PWRMOVE, now in its fifth generation, introduces a robust contactless power transfer system for rail-mounted applications such as monorails, conveyor lines, sorter systems, electrified monorail systems (EMS), skillet conveyors, and rail-floor systems. With over 250 kilometres of track already deployed globally, including major airports and manufacturing facilities, PWRMOVE ensures continuous, maintenance-free power even in demanding industrial environments.
"Industries are progressing rapidly, but traditional power systems haven't kept pace," said Magnus Terje Vold, Chief Commercial Officer at ENRX. "Cables can break down, connectors may fail, and charging stations restrict workflow flexibility. ENRMOVE and PWRMOVE tackle these challenges directly".
Richard van den Dool, Vice President of Sales and Business Development at ENRX, highlights ENRMOVE's key innovation: Opportunity charging. Vehicles charge seamless during short operational stops, integrating energy supply directly into the workflow. "Charging infrastructure has historically dictated operations," van den Dool said. "With ENRMOVE, charging is integrated into the process, minimizing unnecessary downtime."
PWRMOVE enhances traditional solutions, particularly in situations where reliability and minimal maintenance are essential, such as 24-hour logistics hubs, airports, and amusement park rides. "While busbars and sliding contacts are effective in many situations," noted van den Dool, "PWRMOVE offers unmatched reliability and efficiency in challenging environments."
Strong market interest at LogiMAT 2025, Germany
At the recent LogiMAT 2025 trade fair in Stuttgart, Germany—one of Europe's premier logistics and automation events—ENRX's ENRMOVE and PWRMOVE demonstrations drew significant interest from industry leaders.
